Do You Spend More With Credit?

Do you find yourself buying more if you are using your credit card than if you are paying by cash? I have found this to be the case in the past. If I know I have to pay with cash, I will monitor my purchases much more closely than if I am charging the purchase. I do like to use my Discover card for things because of the cash back reward, but I am finding I need to discipline myself in what I purchase.

I find myself in a similar situation, however I do monitor my credit card purchases as well.

I tend to only use it for large purchases where it might not be convenient to carry a large amount of cash for example purchases over $500. And as you said there are some advantages of using the card due to such rewards, and I believe almost every card nowadays offers some sort of incentive for using it, but I tend to use cash for smaller purchases so that I am more aware of the purchases I've made and make better decisions when spending after that transaction.

As much as possible I don't use my credit cards to purchase anything. If I can afford to pay in cash then I would, if not then no choice but to use the credit cards. LOL!
