One thing to remember when improving credit is that nothing comes easy, and slow and steady wins the race. The most important things to do are to understand your current situation (pull your reports) and make a plan to improve it. Perhaps there will be incorrect information on the reports you can dispute and clear up. Maybe you will need to be more aggressive in your payment. Maybe you will need to close down a card or two. Read a book or two about credit repair, devise your strategy, and be patient. Your bad score will be a good score with time and effort.
