Fees - your big issue?

Postby gscs on November 24th, 2007, 1:38 am

As we know that, there are many fees apply to a card holder. Like Annual fee, Late fee, Over-the-limit fee, Cash advance fee, Balance transfer fee and etc.
Is the fee the first issue when choosing a credit card company? Any other issue we have to look for?

I think the biggest of the all is APR, the higher the APR the further from that card you need to stay, though there is tons of variables to consider when applying for a credit card. For the most part the major features to lookup out for are: ARP, Participation Fee (or Annual Fee), Over the limit Fee and late payment fees.

Fee's isnt a big problem for me as it's just small purchases for me.. I think its when you consider huge buys that gees comes into play. And what I look for in a credit card company is the customer satisfaction of the service provided

I will not have a credit card with an annual fee. Back when I was rebuilding my credit, I had no choice, but now I do. Late fees or overlimit fees are not an issue for me, as I do not miss payments or go above my limit. APR doesn't matter much either, as I tend to pay balances off monthly. In a strange way, a card with a high APR keeps me from even thinking of carrying a balance. Warped logic, I know.
