Lending Money to Friends and Family

Postby jnjblogger on November 27th, 2007, 1:18 pm

Have you gotten burned doing this? I have heard it said that you should never loan money to a friend or family because it can damage the relationship if they can't or won't pay. For the most part, I believe this is true. I have loaned money to family before and had it paid back, but I have also loaned money and not had it paid back. Now, I simply will not do it. Do you loan money to family or friends, and if so, what kind of experiences have you had?

When talking about money, sometime peoples may killed each other also right? For me, lend money to relatives for small amount doesn't matter. Please don't lend them too much. If we lend too much, then not get paid, we will be in trouble. That time we'll getting angry and anything can be done without self control.

Family is family, and if your family is in need of money and you have to lend them money so be it. If you don't help your family after all who else are you going to help? Family comes first.

I'm too poor to lend people money, so honestly I hate it when people ask. As a general rule, I don't lend money unless I'm prepared to accept that I might not get it back. Lending money can lead to so much drama, resentment, broken relationships ect.
