Do you access your credits cards online?

Postby ManilaGurL on November 23rd, 2007, 10:20 pm

Guys, do you access your credit cards online? Is it safe to do that? Most of them offer online access to your accounts and I think it's a lot convenient specially if you want to check your account balance and status. I admit I prefer to just access mine instead of calling the customer service for their support.

I perform nearly all my financial transactions online these days, including paying my credit card bills and monitoring charges. I have my statements sent to me online, and I receive alerts to advise me a few days before a payment is due or if I am nearing my credit limit. Some of the credit card companies are coming out with helpful tools for budgeting too. Technology rocks!

I am still getting used to it since I don't really pay or check my balance online. I guess I'm just too lazy to do that. I just wait for my bill every month then read the statement if it's correct or not. LOL the old fashion way. :D

Using the online feature is absolutely critical. It gives you one click access to you credit card balances as well as a birds eye view of what you are spending or for any other transactions that should not be there.

That's what I am afraid of. That someone might be able to access my account and cause me some trouble. I need to make
sure my connection is safe if I do access them online.
